in exam and was seen around 10:40. The waiting room is quite small so something to be mindful of if you have a larger or reactive/anxious/fearful pet - you may want to leave them in the car (if safe to do so) until it’s your turn if it’s busy. I imagine that any surgical procedures are scheduled by appointment outside this time block after an initial exam. The parking lot in front of the clinic is a bit tight, could accommodate 10-15 vehicles if everyone is smart about it.
I overheard them saying their last day is November 30th - it seems they only operate outside of winter so if you need vetting, I would highly recommend Dr. Karr. :)
The final bill was also extremely reasonable. They do accept credit card as a method of payment. 30USD for an exam, wound cleanining/manual drain (sebaceous cyst( and a penicillin injection. I already had antibiotics at home so didn’t have to pay for those.
They accept walk ins Monday-Thursday from 10am-noon. They appear to do their best to get through everyone in an efficient yet caring fashion. I arrived around 10am with three patients ahead of me and one
They really care about the furbabies an they try to work with you there really good thank you for being there for us on short notice
I didn’t purchase any but it sounded like any size flea/tick preventative was only $10 a dose, regardless of size, which is very cheap.
My experience with Dr Karr and his staff was very positive. He spoke to me on a very equal level, as opposed to some vets I’ve dealt with that have been condescending or even combative or dismissive, kept things simple and was happy to chat dogs with me once he learned I work with dogs and gave me the name of someone he thought I would enjoy speaking to. It’s very apparent that he still very much loves and cares for animals and is highly competent in his ability to do so. I ask lots of questions and he was happy to answer all of them.
Dr Karr And his staff is just wonderful
I have known Dr. Karr since I was a child and he has always been compassionate with our animals and very conservative with their treatment. He is also a skilled surgeon and is truly a one-of-a-kind veterinarian. I would highly recommend him for any animal care. He can treat both large and small animals. Dr. Karr is well educated and he also learned a lot from his father who was also a skilled and intelligent veterinarian. I have never known anyone who didn't trust him or have kind words to say about him.
